What is the difference between the Small and the Medium/Large?
The main differences are size and fit.
The Medium/Large is designed for taller and broader users (5'8"–6'4", up to 330 lbs), while the Small fits users between 5'0" and 5'8" (up to 300 lbs).
The two also differ in gas lift length, seat and backrest width, and footrest dimensions — each scaled to better match the corresponding height and body type.
Which size is right for me?
The Standing Mate comes in two sizes.
The Small fits users between 5'0" and 5'8" (152–173 cm) with a weight capacity of 300 lbs.
The Medium/Large fits users between 5'8" and 6'4" (173–193 cm) with a weight capacity of 330 lbs.
If you're exactly 5'8", we generally recommend sizing up to the Medium/Large, as it offers a bit more room and is typically more comfortable for users at the height boundary. The Small can still work well if you have a slimmer build or prefer a more compact fit.
What is the gas lift size for the Standing Mate Small and Medium/Large?
The Standing Mate is available with two gas lift options:
Small Size: 120Y7 gas lift (115mm stroke)
Medium/Large Size: 150Y7 gas lift (145mm stroke)
The Medium/Large size features a longer gas lift to better accommodate taller users and higher standing desk setups.
Is this sit stand desk chair available in other colors?
Only dark grey for now.
The back support frame won't stay locked — is this a defect?
Not likely. This adjustable standing chair uses a step-by-step ratchet backrest adjustment mechanism. Please try this:
- Reset: Push the backrest all the way down.
- Lift gradually: Pull up one click at a time — you'll hear a 'click' at each locked position.
- Don't skip to the top: Pulling directly to max height auto-resets the lock, causing it to slide back down.
Try lifting to the middle position first to test. Still not working? Contact our after-sales team for an adjustment video, and we'll send a replacement backrest bracket right away.
Can this sit stand office chair be fitted with armrests,heightening wheel or a footrest?
The Standing Mate is specifically designed without armrests or a footrest to allow unrestricted movement and smooth transitions between sitting, perching, and standing.
Adding these accessories is not recommended, as they may interfere with the intended ergonomic experience.

Great chair, firm cushion and feels like good quality. only complaint is the back rest has no mechanism for staying up, so a 180cm person like myself has to keep pulling the back rest higher whenever I shift and it drops.

The seat itself isn't very comfortable, but since I tend to switch between standing and sitting often, it's workable. The stand position is hard to get into when I have a corner desk (instead of a straight one) because of the curve of the desk. The wheels are clunky, for the price I think the sturdier wheels would work better for switching and moving. Clunky but workable.

Love that I can stand more using this chair and totally love the design. Just the bottom was not stocked firmly and after several times stand it slipped

It's hard to sit facing backwards because the backrest is so thick. And the seat is too small to sit other ways, like cross legged. It's fine at the standing up part, but it's much less versatile than I expected and want it to be. I'm very unhappy and I wish I hadn't gotten it. I would like to return it
